Relatively good service. The mixed drinks are good and the beer is cold. I have yet to try the entrees. I wasn't impressed with the chips and queso.
Good quality bar fare food. Plenty of TV's and plenty tables for sports viewing. Friendly wait staff as well. If you like wings, burgers, cold beer and scantily clad waitresses... This is your place!
I absolutely love this place!! Always cold beer, good tv screens, great happy hour before 6pm and good Modern Spanish music. Definitely my spot!
I'm not a sports bar kinda guy. But then, Modelos is not a sports bar kinda place. Modelos is BIG, partially because everything's bigger in Texas. Big room with a tall ceiling, big seating capacity, large number of TV screens, including a VERY big screen on the freeway side of the room. And yes, sports on the TVs, but the cantina doesn't feel like a bar. Emphasis is on the food, not the drinks. And the food is mostly Mexican food, not much American bar food. The selection is smaller than what you'd get at Elena's or Casa Ole. On the other hand, this is a place to come with your buddies to hang out after work, whether to watch the game or not, and have some food on the side. I was trying to decide between the super burrito and fajitas. Reyse told me that the burrito is the most popular. I went with the beef fajitas. And they were good. The beef was pretty tender, and had a strong taste to it. Put the beef, sauteed onions & peppers, and rice & beans into the tortilla, and you're good to go. The quality is up there with most Mexican restaurants. As for Reyse, she was good, professional, and friendly. I went to Modelos its first year in operation, for an early lunch. As I was leaving, a lot more people were coming in. I wonder what it's like when a big game is on, like Texas v. Oklahoma, or the Astros trying to get into the playoffs, it's probably filled with people. With the high ceilings, I think that it might get loud but not uncomfortably loud. Modelos appears to be a hit in Beaumont. Yeah, even if you don't like sports, it's worth going to Modelos to get some high-quality south-of-the-border grub at a normal price. Go on over to get this party started.
AWESOME place.! Probably 30 beers on tap 29 degrees with excellent food! Been there four times with a different menu item each time and they were delicious. The staff is dressed similar to a hooter or twin peaks attire. Sports bar with Tv's everywhere. Food was served in a timely fashion and great tasting! Can't wait to return and try a different dish.
Stop in with friends at first I thought this was a Mexican Hooter/Twin Peaks. But the menu is diverse and the service and food were outstanding. Trista did a Fantastic job even though the kitchen was slammed. Great Addition to the Restaurant seen in Beaumont, Texas.

Outstanding lunch menu with large portions. Cold beer, great service. I'm from Houston and was just passing through Beaumont, but will be sure to stop again in the future. My buddy was with me and he concurs.
